!!! The interpreters and guides welcoming travelers will explain in detail the reminders and advice needed during the tour;
As a preliminary, we are sharing the following reminders and advice.
International flights:
- Carefully confirm the schedule of the UB – ISTANBUL – UB international flight, and plan to arrive at the airport 2 hours before the flight, taking into account traffic between ULAANBAATAR and the KHUSHIG VALLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT and the weather conditions!
- TURKISH AIRLINES limits checked baggage to 30kg and hand luggage to 8kg, and MIAT limits checked baggage to 23kg and hand luggage to 8kg, so please adjust the amount of luggage you take accordingly!
- If carrying someone else's items, have them packed in front of your own eyes, and for items that arrive already packed, insist on opening and checking them and carefully check what is inside!
General rules:
- Do not disturb other travelers during the tour. Do not do anything that disrupts the peace and calm of others.
- Do not ask the guide or interpreter for inappropriate actions or conduct that crosses ethical boundaries.
- Do not make other demands that could affect the tour program.
- Be on time according to the program schedule, without making other travelers wait, so that the next part of the program can be organized according to its schedule.
Hotel rules:
1. Hotel check-in:
Hotels carry out official registration and make rooms available to guests from 14:00. At check-in you will fill in a short form in English, and the hotel's front desk staff and the interpreter will help you.
2. Room check-out
On the day your stay ends, you need to hand over your hotel room before 12:00, and if your tour program includes a flight, you need to allow time to get to the airport and check in at the airport.
3. Other services
Turkish national bars, fitness, sports grounds and entertainment programs are organized, and the organizer's advice may be useful in choosing the most suitable one for you. In some cases these services carry an additional fee, so you should inquire and confirm when using these services.

Things to note when visiting mosques:
The Republic of Turkey is an Islamic country. Compared to other Islamic countries, it can be understood as relatively relaxed and leaning towards European ways. When visiting mosques, women need to cover their hair with a headscarf. Mosques heavily visited by tourists, such as the Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia, provide headscarves at the entrance; if you prefer not to use items others have used, please bring your own head covering!
Medical services:
If you need special medical services or have to go to a hospital, do not forget to get a document certified by the doctor, and do not hesitate to ask about the information needed to buy medicine or receive treatment! In an emergency, services are available for an additional fee.
General information:
The main language of Turkey is Turkish, and languages such as English, German and Russian are widely used. The Turkish currency is called the Lira (TL). Money can be exchanged at banks, currency exchange centers and post offices, and you can pay by card or in cash.
At shops and service venues:
When shopping at large official retail venues, keep an eye on your documents and bags with cash, take care not to forget them where you were served, and beware of theft.
When using small street and market stalls and vendors, communicate through the interpreter, and beware of cases where foreign travelers are cheated with inflated prices or given no answer.
When shopping at stores and wholesale centers included in the tour program, we advise you not to hesitate to make an offer and negotiate the price you are willing to pay.
Weather:
Turkey is a region with a humid coastal climate made up of hot and cool zones. In the southern part of the country, thanks to the warm air of the Mediterranean Sea, it is warm in all four seasons: around 17 degrees warm at its coldest in January, and 35 – 40 degrees hot at its warmest in July. Istanbul is around 35 degrees warm in summer and 5 – 10 degrees warm in winter; in some years, due to cool air from the north, it snows and gets sharply colder.
RAFTING:
Things to note when going on a boat trip down a mountain river.
The trip lasts about 2:30 hours. Since you will get completely wet during the trip, we recommend bringing swimwear, sunscreen, footwear that will not slip off, a waterproof case to keep your phone from falling, cash (30 - 50$) and a towel. If you do not have these items, they cost between 5$ - 25$ at the place that organizes the boat trip.
